If we, as an exercise, note down all the overused and abused words in English we will have a handful of English words. For example, depression. People use it in all kind of situations. From being upset to frustrated to being actually depressed. Sometimes this over usage depreciates the actual meaning of the word. That is a very sad thing. Next, to the word depression, the next word that comes to my mind is passion. If you have people who are positive throughout the day, week, month, year and eternity, you will know why I say this word is overused. For them, Sugarcane juice seller works with so much passion and people look at each other at so much passion. If there is so much passion all around me, I should be some special kind of blind or just numb to all the passionate human beings around me. Maybe being passionate is the new normal. But I came across a person recently, who made me see the meaning of that word. And she also made me realize that being passionate is contagious.
I have known Jayasudha Seenivasan for quite some time. She is a part of the bloggers club of which I am a member. She had a niche blog which dealt with Interior designs and she is an Interior designer by profession. When we first met it was a very professional meet where we discussed the interiors of a house which I had bought (which is not yet delivered by the way). Since then I had a chance to interact with her. I rarely come across people who actually love what they do. And Sudha is one of them.
I have always been a fan of her aesthetic touch and eye for detail. So when she said she was going to open a decor cafe, I was excited. But I was not ready for the treat for eyes and tongue when I reached there for a private tasting she had arranged for select bloggers. You can see that in these pictures yourself.
I tried each and every beverage and also the cakes. They were yummilicious. For a person without any background in the hospitality industry, the way she treated us and other customers during the inauguration day made my heart swell with pride. It told me Aegam is here to stay. There are three rooms of furniture and fixtures which were handpicked by Jayasudha. Some from India and some from abroad but each one has its own elegance and beauty. Apart from being a wonderful host, if you are looking to decorate your room and if you need the inspiration to decorate your private space, do visit this place. Jayasudha will be happy to spend some time with you discussing your dream home, virtually changing it brick by brick to suit your personality while you sip at your margarita or espresso.
If you have a fine taste for decoration ideas please rush, because few of the furniture were books right on the inauguration day. They also have a great backyard with proper well and mango tree, chairs, and tables neatly arranged with excellent lighting for you to spend a quiet evening with your loved one, or if you are a person like me, with a book. They also have a stage set up for live music, stand-up comedy shows and general events.
If you are a parent of an adolescent child and are reluctant to let your child follow their passion, please do visit this cafe. Each brick, bottle, and spoon will tell you why running behind the passion is important and how does it make one alive.
